Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations:

Data visualizations: Some complex charts may have limits in how much underlying data can be represented in a concise screen reader description. We provide chart descriptions, readable result text, and data tables where possible.
Third-party content: Some embedded content from third parties may not be fully accessible.
Data grid component: The AG Grid library used for data table input reports an ARIA role hierarchy warning in automated accessibility audits. This is a known upstream issue considered a false positive by the library maintainers, as the grid remains fully keyboard-navigable and screen-reader accessible.
PDF exports: While we strive to make PDF exports accessible, some formatting may not be optimal for screen readers.

February 2026: Fixed navigation menus to work with browser large font settings — header now grows with text size, dropdown menus scroll when content exceeds viewport, and nav items wrap instead of overlapping
February 2026: Improved color contrast ratios across all pages and added accessible names to all interactive elements
January 2026: Completed VPAT compliance audit and updated all 100+ calculators with comprehensive ARIA attributes, loading states, and error handling
Ongoing: Regular audits and testing with assistive technologies
